DIY Dynamo Day

DIY Dynamo Day is a single day "deep dive" training course on Dynamo for Autodesk Revit. The class will be broken into four distinct modules. We will use real-world examples to build a foundation of knowledge giving you the ability to create your own scripts in Dynamo. Each module builds on the previous to demonstrate the connection between the simple and complex scripts.

By the end of the day you will have the skills and confidence to develop your own scripts from scratch. You'll go back to your cubicle and become an instant hero as you use Dynamo to automate repetitive tasks, overcome Revit limitations, and solve complex problems.

Hey there! My name is Jeff. You may know me better as "The Revit Kid". I am a licensed architect with over 14 years in the industry. I have worked at large and small firms, construction firms, and on my own.

I have spent the last 10 years teaching people Autdesk Revit online. But, there isn't anything quite like teaching in-person.

Some of my teaching experience includes:

5 Years as Adjunct Professor at the University of Hartford
7 Years in a row leading a session at BILT NA (RTCNA)
Highly rated speaking roles at: Building Content Summit, CMAA, ABX Boston, Greenbuild, and the Construction Institute (BIM Council).

DIY Dynamo Day isn't your ordinary AEC software training session. I've developed a lesson plan that skips the "fluff" and teaches you what you need to know . You're a Revit user. Teaching you where the "File" and "Edit" buttons are located is a waste of time. My philosphy on teaching is that if I draw the dots you have the ability to connect them.

By the end of a single day you will be able to create your own complex scripts and solve any problem using Dynamo. Additionally, you will have a conceptual knowledge of Dynamo that will help in understanding scripts made by others (which is an extremely important skill in and of itself!).

Architects, Engineers, Contractors, BIM Managers, and beyond... I have experience and examples of how Dynamo can be used in all corners of the AEC industry.
